‘Evan’s Portrait’ is an exploration of portraiture through the use of triptych form, using multiple paintings to capture several perspectives into his interests, passions and personality, giving a multifaceted representation of who he is. The largest painting represents his passion for music, while the bottom right shows his care for his cat and love for cats in general. The work employs a muted colour palette, the greens of the background and his sweater contrast with the brown hues of his bass, jacket and hair, resulting in an aesthetically pleasing yet meaningful artwork.
